Review: Infernal Execrator – Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent

When it comes to blackened death metal or black metal in general, there is and will never be a shortage of blasphemous, anti-religious and evil music. Infernal Execrator brings forth these reoccuring themes of darkness to their latest album: Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent. This album is just massive evil black metal attack that touches upon what Marduk has been doing for years. The pummeling drum work sometimes overpowers the blazing riffs but they can still be heard for the most part. The quickness and quality of the song writing makes this a black metal release that demands your attention!

Vocal work is your typical war torn styled blasphemous execution. Bass is audible but it’s very much tucked behind the rest of the band. Songs are incredibly quick, with the average length for a track being about 3 minutes. The total length of Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent is just past the 25 minute mark, so Infernal Execrator is definitely shoving as much filthy black metal down your throat as fast as possible. For those thrashers that love to headbang, this album will definitely get your neck sore. The guitar tone is great and makes up for the okay production. While it’s not AAA production, it’s still good and gives this album an even more raw sound, which benefits the band honestly.

Song composition is typical for this style of music. Fast tempos, screams, malicious riffing and scathing vocal work run rampant but it’s very fitting for what they are trying to create. Their atmosphere is crushing and the album as a whole is very solid. So if you’re looking for something similar to Impiety, Belphegor or Marduk and are looking for the next best war machine black metal album that keeps things heavy and evil, then pick up this album right now. Infernal Execrator’s Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent is a must have.
